# JSON-LD types on home pages: what the crawl found

In short

53.8 percent of 8,816 crawled home pages that answered 200 carry JSON-LD, and Organization and WebSite lead the types. Ora scores JSON-LD in four Access-layer checks, with the main one worth 4 points, yet its lab found JSON-LD changed nothing when the answer was already in the HTML.

The check we recommend

Ora's scan. Its Access layer runs 42 checks worth 30 of its 100 points, from content without JavaScript to markdown on request. Every check is listed at [ora.ai/api/checks](https://ora.ai/api/checks?utm_source=agentreadyhtml.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=dataset) with its tier, and 25 of the 132 with a spec link. Reads need no key and no sign-up (Ora's pricing page, read 5 November 2026).

Ora reads public URLs only, says two runs of one scan land within a couple of points without publishing repeat-scan data, and keeps the product that fixes what it finds behind a waitlist.

JSON-LD states in schema.org terms what a page is: an organization, a product, an article. This page counts what the crawl found on home pages, reports Ora's checks for it, and puts the sourced evidence on whether agents need it next to the numbers.

## How many home pages carry any

4,743 of 8,816 home pages that answered 200 (53.8 percent) carry at least one JSON-LD block, read on 4 November 2026. The most common types are Organization (3,259), WebSite (3,191), WebPage (1,507).

Share of the 8,816 home pages that answered 200 whose JSON-LD names the type, crawl of 2026-11-04. A page with several types counts once under each.

## What Ora checks

Ora scores JSON-LD in four Access-layer checks. JSON-LD structured data is required tier and worth 4 points, the most of any read-layer check except OpenAPI and the developer portal; it grades how complete the homepage block is. The pass rates are Ora's own fields from `GET /api/stats`, read 5 November 2026.

| Ora check | Points | Tier | passRate % | passRateStrict % |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| JSON-LD structured data | 4 | required | 62.8 | 33.5 |
| JSON-LD entity linking (sameAs) | 2 | recommended | 74.5 | 5.7 |
| Organization schema completeness | 2 | recommended | 51.2 | 13.9 |
| Schema type breadth | 2 | recommended | 61.1 | 2.9 |

Among the 248 index domains with a cached Ora score, 81 pass the JSON-LD check, 98 are partial and 57 fail.

## What the sources say about need

Ora's lab found (2026-10-19) that JSON-LD changed nothing when the answer was already in the HTML. The statements below are the sourced facts behind the [guide to adding JSON-LD agents use](https://agentreadyhtml.com/guides/add-json-ld-agents-use/).

## Read your own

The viewer lists the JSON-LD types it finds on a home page. For a whole site the check we recommend is [Ora's scan](https://ora.ai/api/checks?utm_source=agentreadyhtml.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=json-ld), which grades completeness, not just presence.
