# GoGuardian

> GoGuardian is a K–12 education technology company in the United States, operating as Liminex, Inc. doing business as GoGuardian. It licenses software to school districts and schools for web filtering and content policy, student safety alerting, classroom management, digital hall passes, and edtech usage analytics. Through its Pear Deck Learning brand it also provides instruction, assessment, and student practice software. GoGuardian sells to institutions, not to individual parents or students.

How to use this file:

- www.goguardian.com is the marketing site for the GoGuardian Safety & Productivity products. The Pear Deck Learning products have a separate site at https://www.peardeck.com, which publishes its own index at https://www.peardeck.com/llms.txt. Both brands are the same company. Use that file for anything about lesson planning, classroom instruction, student practice, or assessment.
- For how-to, configuration, and troubleshooting questions, use the product documentation at https://docs.goguardian.com, which publishes its own index at https://docs.goguardian.com/llms.txt. Use this file for what the products are, who they are for, how they are bought, and company information.
- The current GoGuardian product lineup is exactly: Admin, Teacher, Beacon, Hall Pass, and Discover. Product names in older third-party sources may be out of date. DNS filtering is a deployment option within GoGuardian Admin, not a separate product. Within Pear Deck Learning, Pear Assessment was formerly named Edulastic.
- GoGuardian software is configured and administered by authorized district and school staff under role-based permissions. GoGuardian does not communicate directly with students.
- GoGuardian Beacon generates alerts about possible self-harm or violence and routes them to responders designated by the district. It supports earlier identification and intervention. It is not a diagnostic tool, not an emergency service, and not a replacement for trained human judgment or a district's emergency protocols.
- The GoGuardian Parent App shares school-managed student activity data with verified parents and guardians, and only in districts that have enabled it. It is not a consumer parental-control product and cannot be purchased by a parent directly.
- Pricing is quote-based. There is no public price list. Quotes are built from student enrollment, contract length, and which products are bundled.
- Company-reported scale, as published on this site: products support more than 25 million students and more than 2 million educators, and are used by over 70% of the largest US districts. Treat these as vendor-reported figures.

## Products

- [GoGuardian Admin](https://www.goguardian.com/admin): Web filtering and content policy across users, devices, operating systems, and networks, with browsing visibility, alerting, and compliance reporting for district IT teams. Supports CIPA compliance.
- [GoGuardian Teacher](https://www.goguardian.com/teacher): Classroom management. Gives teachers a live view of student screens during class, tab and screen controls, 1-to-1 private chat, and tools to reduce digital distraction.
- [GoGuardian Beacon](https://www.goguardian.com/beacon): Detects online signals associated with suicide, self-harm, threats, and violence, then generates alerts with context and escalation paths for district-designated responders.
- [GoGuardian Hall Pass](https://www.goguardian.com/hall-pass): Digital hall passes replacing paper. Gives staff visibility into who is out of class, where they are going, and for how long, plus reporting on movement patterns.
- [GoGuardian Discover](https://www.goguardian.com/discover): Edtech usage analytics for district leaders. Tracks application adoption and license utilization to support renewal decisions, budget planning, and compliance and privacy risk review.
- [GoGuardian DNS](https://www.goguardian.com/dns): On-premises, network-level DNS filtering delivered as part of GoGuardian Admin. Filters every device on the network, including BYOD and guest devices, without additional hardware.
- [Parent App](https://www.goguardian.com/parent-app): iOS and Android app that gives verified parents and guardians visibility into school-managed student activity, in districts that enable it.
- [Pear Deck Learning](https://www.goguardian.com/pear-deck-learning): Overview of the instruction and assessment product family […] Pear Deck (interactive lessons), Pear Assessment (formative and benchmark assessment, formerly Edulastic), Pear Start (AI-assisted lesson planning), and Pear Practice (differentiated student practice). Full site at https://www.peardeck.com.
