# padlet.com llms.txt

In short

padlet.com serves a 2.6 KB llms.txt with 5 H2 sections and 10 links, graded B on the llmstxt.org structure (5 of 6 checks). It lacks same-site links. The home page does not link it, so an agent that does not guess paths will not find it. No llms-full.txt was found. Read 4 November 2026.

# Padlet

> Padlet is a collaborative visual board. A padlet holds posts […] text, images,
> links, files, drawings, audio and video […] arranged in layouts such as a wall,
> grid, timeline, map or canvas, and many people can contribute to one at the
> same time. Its largest audience is teachers and students; teams also use it to
> collect, organize and present work.

## When to use Padlet

- Collecting contributions from many people into one shared place, where each
contribution can be any kind of media rather than plain text.
- Giving a person a visual artifact they will keep working in afterwards […] a
board is a live document, not a one-off render.
- Classroom work: an assignment students post into, a discussion board, a
collection of student work to review or grade.
- Not the right tool for structured records you will query later, for private
single-user note-taking, or for anything needing a schema.

## Interfaces

- [MCP server](https://mcp.padlet.com/): the primary interface for agents. Create
padlets, read and write posts, comment, manage collaborators and library
settings, all as a signed-in Padlet user over Streamable HTTP.
- [OpenAPI description](https://padlet.com/openapi.json): the REST API
at https://api.padlet.dev/v1, authenticated with an `x-api-key` header. Narrower
than MCP […] boards, posts, sections, comments, reactions, organizations […] and the
key is issued from developer settings by a paying user.
- [Agent skills](https://padlet.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json):
step-by-step instructions for common Padlet tasks, in skill-md form.

## Getting a credential

- [auth.md](https://padlet.com/auth.md): how to register an OAuth
client, get a user's authorization, and call the MCP server with the token.
Registration is open […] no account and no approval queue […] but every credential
is bound to a Padlet user who approves it in a browser.
- [REST API keys](https://docs.padlet.dev/reference/introduction): issued by a
paying user from Padlet's developer settings, not by any endpoint.

## Discovery

- [Capability manifest](https://padlet.com/.well-known/ai-catalog.json):
every agent-facing document this origin serves, in one file.
- [MCP server card](https://padlet.com/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json)
- [API catalog](https://padlet.com/.well-known/api-catalog)

## Optional

- [Product documentation](https://padlet.helpdocs.io/): written for people using
  Padlet in the browser.
- [REST API reference](https://docs.padlet.dev/reference/introduction): the same
operations as the OpenAPI document, with prose and examples.

Ora's cached score: 74, grade B, scanned 2 September 2026.

## The parse

padlet.com lists 10 links: 7 point at padlet.com or a relative path, 3 point elsewhere. The hosts it links most: padlet.com (6), docs.padlet.dev (2), mcp.padlet.com (1), padlet.helpdocs.io (1).

## Grade against the llmstxt.org structure

The file passes 5 of 6 checks and fails 1: at least 80 percent of links point at the same site. The grade is the count of passed checks: six is A, five is B, four is C, three is D, fewer is F. It measures structure only. Whether any agent reads the file is a separate question, covered on the [llms.txt reference](https://agentreadyhtml.com/llms-txt/).

| Check | Result | Detail |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Starts with an H1 naming the site or project | Pass | H1: Padlet |
| Has a blockquote summary under the H1 | Pass | Blockquote summary found. |
| Has at least one H2 section that lists links | Pass | 5 H2 sections, 4 with links. |
| At least 80 percent of links point at the same site | Fail | 7 of 10 links stay on padlet.com (70 percent). |
| Under 100 KB | Pass | 2618 bytes as served. |
| Plain markdown, no HTML | Pass | No HTML document markers in the body. |

## Ora's cached score

Ora's cached report for padlet.com gives it **74 of 100, grade B**, scanned on 2 September 2026. Its Access layer, which holds the read-layer checks below, scored 47 of 64 check points. Read from GET ora.ai/api/score/padlet.com on 5 November 2026. The score is Ora's, not this site's, and the structure grade above is a different measure: it grades the llms.txt file against the llmstxt.org proposal, while Ora's score covers the whole site. [Ora's report for padlet.com](https://ora.ai/score/padlet.com?utm_source=agentreadyhtml.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=index-entry) has every layer.

## Linking and the companion file

The home page of padlet.com does not link the file in its HTML. Ora's lab found (2026-10-19) that 86 percent of llms.txt fetches by agents arrived through a link, so an unlinked file is mostly a file nobody opens. No llms-full.txt was found at the same root.

## How it compares

At 2.6 KB the file is larger than 13 percent of the 2,529 plain-text llms.txt files in this edition, and its 10 links put it ahead of 20 percent of them on link count. The home page declares no generator. Size bucket: 2 to 10 KB. Tranco rank 2,732. Category: Education.
