# Ghost: vendor profile

In short

Ghost added llms.txt and markdown copies on 2026-07-16, off by default for sites that existed before. Ghost(Pro) sites got the feature at once, and a self-hosted install had to update first. Paid and members-only posts stay out of both files apart from a title and excerpt, and private sites serve neither.

- Ghost leaves the AI files off for sites that existed before the July 2026 release until an owner turns them on.
