# TYPO3: vendor profile

In short

TYPO3 core writes no llms.txt or markdown copies. The LLMS TXT Generator extension adds an index at /llms.txt and /.well-known/llms.txt and a .md page for each listed URL, and it needs TYPO3 13.4 LTS or 14.3 LTS. Hidden and no-index pages stay out. typo3.org itself served a 2,186-byte llms.txt on 2026-11-05.

## At a glance

**standards.txt** typo3

```text
llms-txt               = partial
markdown-negotiation   = no statement
markdown-twin          = partial
initial-html           = no statement
real-404               = partial
vary-accept            = no statement
```

0 supports, 3 partial or announced, 3 no statement.

**TYPO3** Content management system

Open-source PHP CMS that renders pages on the server, with site-level error handlers per status code; llms.txt and .md copies of pages come from extensions such as the LLMS TXT Generator documented on docs.typo3.org.

## What it does for this layer

- The LLMS TXT Generator extension for TYPO3 produces an llms.txt index of the site and a markdown version of every listed page at its URL plus .md, without navigation, header or footer. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/web-vision/ai-llms-txt:introduction@main), read 5 November 2026.
- The LLMS TXT Generator serves the index at both /llms.txt and /.well-known/llms.txt. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/web-vision/ai-llms-txt:introduction@main), read 5 November 2026.
- The extension builds the markdown pages through TYPO3's regular rendering, so every content element and column position is included. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/web-vision/ai-llms-txt:introduction@main), read 5 November 2026.
-   Hidden, access-restricted, hide-in-menu and no-index pages are left out of the TYPO3 extension's llms.txt. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/web-vision/ai-llms-txt:introduction@main), read 5 November 2026.
-   The LLMS TXT Generator requires TYPO3 13.4 LTS or 14.3 LTS, PHP 8.2 to 8.5 and the TYPO3 system extension seo. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/web-vision/ai-llms-txt:introduction@main), read 5 November 2026.
- The TYPO3 extension can cache the generated llms.txt and export pages as markdown files from the command line. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/web-vision/ai-llms-txt:introduction@main), read 5 November 2026.
- The extension's documentation states that llms.txt is not an access-control mechanism and points to robots.txt and server configuration for crawl permissions. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/web-vision/ai-llms-txt:introduction@main), read 5 November 2026.
- TYPO3's ErrorController looks up the error handler a site configures for a status code and falls back to TYPO3's own error page when the site configures none. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/reference-coreapi/main/en-us/ApiOverview/SiteHandling/ErrorHandling/Index.html), read 5 November 2026.
- TYPO3 14.2 added a generic error action to the ErrorController for HTTP status codes that the fixed error methods do not cover. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/reference-coreapi/main/en-us/ApiOverview/SiteHandling/ErrorHandling/Index.html), read 5 November 2026.
- TYPO3's system extension seo gives editors meta tag fields and renders the meta tags and an XML sitemap in the frontend. \[primary source\] [source](https://docs.typo3.org/c/typo3/cms-seo/main/en-us/Introduction/Index.html), read 5 November 2026.

## Products and plans

| Product | What it is | Price | As of | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| TYPO3 CMS | Server-rendered PHP CMS with site configuration for error handling and a system extension for SEO. | No price on the pages read | | |
| LLMS TXT Generator (web-vision/ai-llms-txt) | Extension that writes llms.txt and serves .md copies of pages. | No price on the pages read | | |

## Standards

| Standard | Status | What the vendor's pages say | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| llms-txt | partial | An extension writes llms.txt and /.well-known/llms.txt; core does not. | source |
| markdown-negotiation | no statement | The extension page describes .md URLs, not Accept-header negotiation. | none |
| markdown-twin | partial | With the extension, every listed page has a .md copy. | source |
| initial-html | no statement | Server rendering is TYPO3's architecture; the pages read do not state it in these words. | none |
| real-404 | partial | Sites configure an error handler per status code; without one TYPO3 shows its own error page. | source |
| vary-accept | no statement | Not covered in the pages read. | none |

## Checks on its own site

| Request with Accept: text/markdown | HTTP 200, text/markdown, Vary: Accept | 2026-11-05 |
| /llms.txt at the host root | HTTP 200, text/markdown, 2.1 KB, starts with an H1 | 2026-11-05 |
| A made-up path | HTTP 404 | 2026-11-05 |
| Ora score, cached | 59, grade C | 2026-10-30 |
| Cloudflare keyless scan | 20, L1 Basic Web Presence | 2026-11-05 |

## What it does not do

- TYPO3 core ships neither an llms.txt nor markdown copies of pages; an extension supplies both.
