Editorial policy
Sourcing
A fact enters the data only with a source URL and the date it was read. Primary sources (specifications, vendor documentation, a vendor's own changelog) come first. Secondary sources are labelled as such. A statement a vendor makes about itself is labelled as a vendor claim, whoever the vendor is.
Scores
Platforms are scored on the same nine keys with the same scale, from documentation and from probes of the vendor's own site. A score from documentation says so on its page. A platform is never scored from marketing copy alone. When evidence changes, the score changes and the page records the date.
Ora
This site recommends Ora's scan as the whole-site check for the read layer, and says so on every page where it does. Each of those pages gives the grounds in Ora's own published terms, with the date read, and prints Ora's limits beside the recommendation: public URLs only, no published data on repeat scans, and the product that fixes what it finds behind a waitlist. Ora's lab findings are written as "Ora's lab found", with the date, and are not described as studies by anyone else. Ora's scores are shown as Ora's readings on the day they were taken and are never blended with this site's own grades. Cloudflare's scanner and Mintlify's score are named as the alternatives. Every link to Ora carries a tracking parameter.
Writing
Pages are plain and dated. Every page opens with a short summary of 40 to 60 words and ends with its sources and a last-reviewed date. Questions are not used as section headings. The build runs a writing gate on every page and fails on a banned word, an em dash, a star glyph or a rating schema.
Quoting other sites
Files and text quoted from other sites are shown as found, except where a span contains a word or character this site's own writing rules reject; that span is shown as […] and the page says how many were elided. HTML character references in quoted text are shown as the characters they stand for.
