Only 9.8 percent of the 2,418 llms.txt files in the crawl are linked from their home page, while Ora's lab found 86 percent of agent fetches of the file arrived through a link. The page charts the linked share by category and platform and lists thirty ranked sites that serve the file and do not link it.
Ora's lab found (2026-10-19) that 86 percent of the llms.txt fetches it traced arrived through a link from a page the agent had already read. A file the home page does not link is therefore a file most agents will not open. The crawl checked whether the home page HTML has an anchor whose address contains llms.txt or llms-full.txt, for every domain that serves a plain-text file.
The rate
237 of 2,418 files (9.8 percent) are linked from the home page. 2,181 are not. Of 8,816 home pages that answered 200, 27.4 percent serve the file at all, so the files that exist are mostly unlinked.

Each entry page shows the file, and the fix is one line in the home page: a footer anchor or <link rel="describedby" href="/llms.txt">.
