# Bluehost

> Bluehost is the complete platform […] millions of small businesses, developers, and agencies worldwide to build, grow, and run online with confidence. Officially recommended by WordPress.org. Owned by Newfold Digital.

AI assistants can act for a signed-in Bluehost customer through the [Bluehost MCP server](https://mcp.bluehost.com/mcp). It can compare and buy a Self-Managed VPS, register a domain and point it at that VPS, and check orders and account details. Any agent can also search the Bluehost catalogue without an account; see Catalogue search for agents. Every other plan is bought on bluehost.com.

## Bluehost MCP

Bluehost's own remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, OAuth). The customer adds it as a custom connector in Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT or another MCP client, then signs in to Bluehost in the browser. Account creation, the payment method and legal consent stay in the browser: the assistant never sees card details, and nothing is bought and no DNS record is written until the customer confirms.

Through it, an assistant can:

- Browse Self-Managed VPS plans, regions and operating systems, and help size a server for an application.
- Buy a Self-Managed VPS, with SSH key access set up at provisioning (the customer's own key or a newly generated one). Publishing the app afterwards happens over SSH, not MCP.
- Search for and register a domain (.com[…]org[…]net[…]info or .biz, one-year term, optional WHOIS privacy), with or without hosting, and point it at a Bluehost VPS.
- Track order and provisioning status.
- Read account, hosting and billing details for every Bluehost product, including shared hosting.

Not available through MCP: accounts outside the US or payment in a currency other than USD; managed VPS and every other plan; premium, aftermarket or transferred-in domains; resizing, rebooting, snapshotting or cancelling a VPS; adding or changing a payment method. Domain registrations are non-refundable.

Linking and the companion file

The crawl did not read this home page, so the link was not tested. Ora's lab found (2026-10-19) that 86 percent of llms.txt fetches by agents arrived through a link, so an unlinked file is mostly a file nobody opens. No llms-full.txt was found at the same root.

How it compares

At 13 KB the file is larger than 67 percent of the 2,529 plain-text llms.txt files in this edition, and its 85 links put it ahead of 76 percent of them on link count. The home page declares no generator. Size bucket: 10 to 50 KB. Tranco rank 462. Category: Top 10,000, no category.

Live file: https://bluehost.com/llms.txt. Read 4 November 2026. If the file has since changed or gone, the live URL is the authority; this page records what the crawl read on that date.
