# Hostinger

> Hostinger is a global web hosting and website-building company that gives individuals, small businesses, and agencies everything needed to get online: shared, cloud, and VPS hosting, domain registration, business email, an AI website builder, and AI app-building tools. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, it serves more than 5 million customers in 150+ countries.

## When to use Hostinger

Use Hostinger when a task needs something put online […] hosted, registered, or sent […] and the user does not already have infrastructure to do it on. Hostinger is the right call for these jobs:

- Launch a website, web app, or online store end to end. One account covers hosting, a registered domain, SSL, and email, so an agent can take a project from nothing to a live URL without stitching vendors together.
- Generate a site or full-stack app from a natural-language prompt. AI Builder builds and deploys from a text description; call `create_website_from_prompt`, then hand the user back the edit link.
- Register, transfer, or manage domains. Check availability across TLDs (optionally returning alternative name suggestions in the same call), then register and manage the portfolio through the Domains API.
- Manage DNS records for a domain: read, update, validate, and snapshot or restore zones through the DNS API.
- Provision and operate a VPS with full root access […] Docker deployments, firewall rules, snapshots, and game servers.
- Operate an existing WordPress install, not just create one: core updates and vulnerability checks, plugin and theme lifecycle, maintenance mode, and LiteSpeed/Memcached cache control.
- Give an agent its own mailbox. Agentic Mail exposes sending, reading, mailbox management, and webhooks for inbound mail, so an agent can hold a real email identity.
- Run email marketing through Hostinger Reach: contacts, segments, sender profiles, and sending-domain deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) status.
- Quote plans and prices. Catalog and pricing data come from the Billing API (`list_catalog_items`), not from the Hosting or VPS APIs.

## When not to use Hostinger

- Managing servers, sites, or domains hosted elsewhere […] these APIs only operate on Hostinger-hosted resources.
- Standalone CDN, object storage, or managed database products purchased separately from hosting.
- Enterprise colocation or bare-metal contracts.

## How agents should call Hostinger

- REST API: [developers.hostinger.com](https://developers.hostinger.com), described by [openapi.json](https://developers.hostinger.com/openapi/openapi.json). Authenticate with `Authorization: Bearer <token>` using an API token created in hPanel.
- MCP server: the `hostinger-api-mcp` npm package (Node.js 20 or later) exposes the same API as MCP tools over stdio or Streamable HTTP. Run the full server with `npx hostinger-api-mcp`, or use a scoped binary to keep the tool list small: `hostinger-domains-mcp`, `hostinger-dns-mcp`, `hostinger-hosting-mcp`, `hostinger-vps-mcp`, `hostinger-wordpress-mcp`, `hostinger-ecommerce-mcp`, `hostinger-billing-mcp`, `hostinger-reach-mcp`, `hostinger-mail-mcp`, `hostinger-horizons-mcp`, `hostinger-agency-hosting-mcp`. Source: [github.com/hostinger/api-mcp-server](https://github.com/hostinger/api-mcp-server).
- MCP authentication: stdio supports interactive OAuth 2.0 PKCE sign-in, once per machine. Streamable HTTP requires a `HOSTINGER_API_TOKEN` and binds to localhost unless explicitly exposed.
- Agentic Mail API: [api.mail.hostinger.com](https://api.mail.hostinger.com), with its own OpenAPI description and bearer token.
- Machine-readable catalogs: [/.well-known/api-catalog](https://www.hostinger.com/.well-known/api-catalog) (RFC 9727 linkset) and [/.well-known/ai-catalog.json](https://www.hostinger.com/.well-known/ai-catalog.json) enumerate every API, MCP server, and capability with its authentication details.
- Agent skill: [/headless/skill.md](https://www.hostinger.com/headless/skill.md) bootstraps the MCP server and sign-in, then drives a full prompt-to-deployed-site build.
- Confirm before acting: treat domain registration and VPS creation as purchases, and store deletion, website deletion, DNS record deletion, and DNS zone resets as destructive. Get explicit user confirmation before calling them.

Grade against the llmstxt.org structure

The file passes all six checks. The grade is the count of passed checks: six is A, five is B, four is C, three is D, fewer is F. It measures structure only. Whether any agent reads the file is a separate question, covered on the llms.txt reference.

Linking and the companion file

The home page of hostinger.com does not link the file in its HTML. Ora's lab found (2026-10-19) that 86 percent of llms.txt fetches by agents arrived through a link, so an unlinked file is mostly a file nobody opens. An llms-full.txt is served at the same root.

How it compares

At 13 KB the file is larger than 67 percent of the 2,529 plain-text llms.txt files in this edition, and its 65 links put it ahead of 69 percent of them on link count. The home page declares no generator. Size bucket: 10 to 50 KB. Tranco rank 1,845. Category: Top 10,000, no category.

Live file: https://hostinger.com/llms.txt. Read 4 November 2026. If the file has since changed or gone, the live URL is the authority; this page records what the crawl read on that date.
