# Polymarket
> Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market. People trade contracts on the outcomes of real-world events in politics, elections, sports, crypto, finance, geopolitics, tech, culture, weather and economics. Each contract pays $1 if the outcome happens and $0 if it does not, so a Yes contract trading at 62¢ means the market puts the chance near 62%. Prices are set by traders buying and selling with each other on an order book, not by a house. There are two separate products: Polymarket (polymarket.com), the international platform that settles in crypto, and Polymarket US (polymarket.us), a CFTC-regulated exchange for US residents that trades in US dollars.
