Agent Ready HTML

WordPress and Elementor against Webflow on what an agent reads

In short

Webflow does not generate llms.txt; the owner writes and uploads it. Webflow leads on real status codes, 2 to 1; WordPress and Elementor: with the default plain permalinks a made-up path answered a 301 to the home page, which answered 200 (a soft 404).

The sourced difference

WordPress gets llms.txt and markdown negotiation from plugins such as Yoast and Markdown Alternate; Webflow accepts an uploaded llms.txt and sells markdown conversion only on Enterprise. Source, read 4 November 2026.

Verdicts by reader

WordPress can reach markdown negotiation on any plan with a plugin.

Webflow needs fewer moving parts but less control.
Front-end developer
On WordPress check that page-builder widgets render content in PHP, not in client scripts.

What each leaves undone

WordPress and Elementor

  • WordPress core does not generate llms.txt.
  • Elementor does not document its own llms.txt feature as of 2026-11-04.

Webflow

  • Does not generate llms.txt.
  • Does not offer markdown negotiation below the Enterprise plan.

Work left to the developer: WordPress and Elementor, Medium: set pretty permalinks, pick one llms.txt plugin and one markdown plugin or edge product, and check that Elementor layouts keep the text in the HTML. Webflow, Medium: write and upload llms.txt, add a footer link, add JSON-LD as custom code; markdown needs Enterprise.
