AgentReady standard launches with read-layer MUSTs
In short
AgentReady.org launched as an MIT-licensed standard maintained with Vercel, Mintlify, Elementor and others. Its read MUSTs are the answer in initial HTML and real status codes; linking llms.txt, JSON-LD and OpenAPI is a SHOULD. Generated llms.txt indexes are capped at 100,000 characters; larger sites get a directory file with split indexes under /_llms/, and no page is dropped.

What it changes for a reader
- The llms.txt reference covers the proposal, the versions and the evidence on whether agents use the file. Open it.
- The guide to real status codes shows how to make a missing page answer 404. Open it.
- The JSON-LD guide shows which types to add and why facts stay in visible text. Open it.
- The OpenAPI guide shows how to link the contract from pages agents read. Open it.
- The initial HTML reference collects the evidence on putting the answer in the first response. Open it.
